Nieuwe luchtvaartmaatschappijen op Schiphol

Vanaf maandag 3 augustus 2009 vliegt Air Arabia Maroc wekelijks op maandag, donderdag en zaterdag vanaf Schiphol naar Casablanca. Vanaf 24 augustus wordt deze vlucht ook iedere dinsdag uitgevoerd. Met ingang van het komende winterseizoen eind oktober is Casablanca dagelijks vanaf Schiphol bereikbaar. De vluchten worden uitgevoerd met een Airbus A320.

Welkom op Schiphol

Schiphol verwelkomt in augustus ook Belavia, de nationale luchtvaartmaatschappij van Wit-Rusland. Belavia vliegt vanaf 10 augustus drie keer per week, op maandag, woensdag en zaterdag, naar Minsk. De vluchten worden uitgevoerd met een Bombardier CRJ-100, Boeing 737-500 of Boeing 737-300. Met de komst van Belavia voegt Schiphol een nieuwe bestemming toe aan haar wereldwijde netwerk.

Ivo van der Vlis, Senior Director Aviation Marketing, zei: "We zijn blij met de komst van Air Arabia Maroc en Belavia. Het biedt de Nederlandse en buitenlandse vakantie- en zakenreiziger meer mogelijkheden om van en naar Schiphol te vliegen. Minsk en Casablanca passen goed in ons uitgebreide aanbod aan bestemmingen. Beide luchtvaartmaatschappijen versterken met hun vluchten het netwerk van de mainport Schiphol."

Tijdens de zomerdienstregeling (29 maart - 25 oktober) vliegen passagiers vanaf Schiphol rechtstreeks naar ruim 262 bestemmingen over de hele wereld. In de zomerdienstregeling staat ook praktische informatie over de diverse opties om in te checken, treinvervoer van en naar Schiphol, parkeren, hotels en alle mogelijkheden om op een prettige manier tijd door te brengen op de luchthaven.

New airlines make their entree: Amsterdam Airport Schiphol welcomes Air Arabia Maroc and Belavia

Starting today, Air Arabia Maroc will be operating weekly flights on Monday, Thursday and Saturday from Schiphol to Casablanca. This service will also fly on Tuesdays from 24 August. From next winter season at the end of October, Casablanca will be accessible from Schiphol seven days a week. The aircraft type to be used for these flights is the Airbus A320.

 In August, Schiphol will also be welcoming Belavia, the national carrier of Belarus. From 10 August, Belavia will be flying three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, to Minsk. These flights will be operated using a Bombardier CRJ-100, Boeing 737-500 or Boeing 737-300. With the arrival of Belavia, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol can add another new destination to its worldwide network.

Once the summer timetable (29 March - 25 October) comes into effect, passengers departing from Amsterdam Airport Schiphol will be able to fly to more than 262 destinations worldwide.
