Schiphol wint opnieuw prijs

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol heeft, net als in 2008, de Leading Edge Award van het Amerikaanse zakenreisblad Executive Travel Magazine gewonnen.

De lezers van dit blad, dat wordt uitgegeven door de zakenreistak van American Express, hebben Schiphol verkozen tot beste internationale luchthaven. De lezers beoordeelden Schiphol als beste luchthaven op de eigenschappen leiderschap, klantgerichtheid en visie.

Prijzen 2009

Schiphol viel in de eerste maanden van dit jaar vaker in de prijzen. Recent won Schiphol de "ACI Europe Best Airport award". Deze prijs ontving Schiphol vanwege haar hoge kwaliteitsstandaard en in het bijzonder voor de wijze waarop zij invulling geeft aan de relatie met omwonenden.

Canadese reisagenten riepen eind juni Amsterdam Airport Schiphol uit tot 'Favourite International Airport 2009'. Ruim 3.500 reisagenten brachten hun stem uit. Lezers van het Aziatische vrachtblad Cargonews Asia kozen in april voor de 16e maal  Schiphol tot 'Best Airport Europe' en voor de 11e maal tot 'Best Air Cargo Terminal Europe'. Schiphol ontving deze prijzen vanwege de hoge kwaliteit van haar vrachtfaciliteiten en de efficiëntie in het vrachtoverslag proces.

In februari won Schiphol.nl de eerste prijs in de categorie 'Best Airport Website' van de 'Webbie Aviation Awards' op Flightglobal.com. Dit is de gezamenlijke website van een aantal gerenommeerde internationale vakbladen op het gebied van luchtvaart.

In de categorie 'Best International Airport' werd Amsterdam Airport Schiphol de eerste . De tweede is London-Heathrow en als derde, werd de luchthaven van Dubai gekozen.

Amsterdam Airport Schiphol named best international airport

For the second year in a row, Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has been honoured with Executive Travel Magazine's 'Leading Edge Award'. Readers of this US magazine, published by the business travel division of American Express, voted Schiphol as best international airport based on qualities including leadership, customer orientation and vision.

2009 awards

This is not the first award that Amsterdam Airport Schiphol has won this year. Recently it received the 'ACI Europe Best Airport award' in recognition of its high standard of quality and, more especially, its approach to building relationships with regional residents.

At the end of June, Canadian travel agents elected Amsterdam Airport Schiphol their 'Favourite International Airport 2009', with over 3,500 Canadian travel agents participating in the vote.

In April, readers of the Asian cargo industry publication Cargonews Asia voted Amsterdam Airport Schiphol 'Best Airport Europe' for the 16th time and 'Best Air Cargo Terminal Europe' for the 11th time. The awards were based on the high quality of airport cargo facilities and efficient cargo transfer process.

 And in February Schiphol.nl won first prize in the category 'Best Airport Website' in the 'Webbie Aviation Awards' organised by Flightglobal.com - the joint website maintained by several leading international aviation sector journals.
